Who were the Fantasy Dream Team last time out?

Having dominated proceedings last time out in Thailand, Jorge Martin's (Prima Pramac Racing) Sprint victory coupled with his Grand Prix win bagged him the most Fantasy points making him the best possible pick for a Gold Rider at 47.5 points.

Joining the Spaniard in the Thailand Fantasy Dream Team was his title rival and Championship leader Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team). The Champion fought his way from 6th on the grid to take 2nd Place at the OR Thailand Grand Prix, bagging 37.5 Fantasy points for anyone who chose the Italian for their Fantasy team.

The best pick for a silver rider in Thailand was Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing). After being demoted a position for exceeding track limits on the final lap, the South African took the final rostrum spot on the Thai GP podium with a 2nd place in the Sprint tallying up 37 Fantasy points.

Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) made out the Dream Team despite nursing a rather painful injury. The Italian fought hard in the Grand Prix to take 4th place, which combined with a 6th place in the Sprint and 4th in qualifying, bagged 30 Fantasy points towards the Dream Team lineup.

Who to consider in Sepang...

As attention turns to the IndianOil Grand Prix of India, there's plenty to consider in the search for the MotoGP™ Fantasy Dream Team. Gamers can make two changes to their team in hopes of forming the dream lineup for the Sepang International Circuit.

Francesco Bagnaia is usually a safe bet at any circuit on the MotoGP™ calendar. There are some big questions to be asked of the Italian however, as the pressure has been piled onto the reigning Champ with the charging Jorge Martin now just 13 points away from snatching the Championship lead. Priced at, 5.5M the #1 did take victory in Sepang last year, so you wouldn't put it past Pecco to pull out a Champion's ride to bounce back and take full points on race day.

That being said, Pecco's 2022 victory had been gifted to him after Jorge Martin had crashed out of a 1.5s lead early on. Taking into account the Spaniard's current incredible wave of form as well his pace in Malaysia last year, for 4.7M the Spaniard would be a safe bet to bag some solid points for your Fantasy Team.

Marco Bezzecchi cannot be discounted either. Whilst the Italian is out of the title fight, his fighting spirit always remains present as the VR46 rider almost always finds himself pushing towards the sharp end. For 4M, Bagnaia and Martin would still be better options as Gold riders but the #72 could be a good addition as a silver rider.

The two Red Bull KTM Factory Racing riders of Brad Binder and Jack Miller cannot be discounted either, and priced at 3.3M and 2.1M could be strong choices for your MotoGP™ Fantasy team. Both riders have shown strong form this year, with Binder coming into the weekend fresh from a double Thai GP podium.

Equally, the Aprilia's can never be discounted either! Aprilia Racing's Maverick Viñales (2.3M) and Aleix Espargaro (2.7M) arrive at the Sepang International Circuit eager to return to podium glory. A difficult home round for the Italian manufacturer saw the duo walk away empty-handed and hungry for some silverware. Whilst Sepang hasn't typically been an Aprilia circuit, both riders have shown they're capable of running at the front in 2023.

The stage is set for what has the potential to be another incredible weekend in Malaysia. Make sure to join in on all the MotoGP™ Fantasy action throughout the weekend, and ensure you don't miss a thing with the action underway from Friday 10th November on motogp.com!
