Rins ruled out of racing action in Phillip Island

The Spaniard has been declared unfit due to the persistent pain in his right leg

Alex Rins (LCR Honda CASTROL) has withdrawn from the Australian GP as his recovery continues. The LCR rider is set to travel to Melbourne for a check-up and CT scan.

"So disappointed in the end. The pain doesn't improve so this morning the Dr Charte made some exploration, he touched a little bit the leg and we decided to do a CT scan in Melbourne today to see if everything is under control and to evaluate from which part/bone this pain is coming from" Rins explained.

"We don't know exactly where the pain comes from, so we make the CT scan to check if it's coming from the tibia or the fibula, we need to check."

"After the crash I was completely fine, I could stand my leg and I put it in the air."
