Ortola masters the conditions in rain-soaked P3 as Masia remains top

The Spaniard is the rider to beat with the threat of rain looming over qualifying, despite Jaume Masia defending the top spot on combined times

As Moto3™ turns to the first qualifying of the second half of the season, it was Ivan Ortola (Angeluss MTA Team) who came out on top as the rain came down on Saturday morning's Practice 3 at the Monster Energy British Grand Prix. The Spaniard's 2:31.106 put him 0.267s clear of Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo) who built his way up and got a good feel for the conditions late on. Tatsuki Suzuki (Leopard Racing) put on a very impressive display to lead the way for the majority of the session before slipping down to P3 in the closing stages.

Lorenzo Fellon (CIP Green Power) also put in a late charge to bag P4 ahead of Stefano Nepa (Angeluss MTA Team) and David David Muñoz (BOE Motorsports) who finished 5th and 6th respectively.

With the first two Practices seeing dry running, the combined standings remain the same meaning automatic Q2 spots have been decided. You can find the full combined results below.
