Sergio Garcia moves to Aspar for 2021 Moto3™ title tilt

The 17-year-old will switch to the Aspar Team next season looking to add to his 2019 Valencia Grand Prix victory

Aspar Team will have Sergio Garcia as the spearhead of its Moto3™ project in the 2021 World Championship. The young rider from Castellón, born in 2003, arrives at the Aspar Team at the age of 17, but already with a victory under his belt, having won the 2019 Valencia GP.

Sergio Garcia made his World Championship debut at the 2019 Americas Grand Prix, after missing the Qatar Grand Prix because he was still 15-years-old. The Valencian finished the season on a high, with a great progression that led him to finish second in Malaysia and to win his first Grand Prix at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit. Now, the Valencian rider comes to the Aspar Team to fight for the title of the lightweight category.

Jorge Martinez 'Aspar': “We are very excited to have Sergio García in Aspar Team. We have great confidence in him and we hope to be able to offer him the best tools so that he can prove his worth. This year we are experiencing an exciting season and we want to continue training riders to help them become champions.”

Sergio Garcia: “I am very happy to announce that next year I will compete with Aspar Team in Moto3. I believe that together we are going to form a great team, you can see that it is a winning team. I'm going to put all my strength so that together we can give our best.”
